How To Feed Gaumata

How Feeding our Gaumata Can Bless You with Divine Grace

According to our scriptures, food donation is the biggest charity in the world. Because no one can survive without food. This world is made of food only and with the help of food only its creations are being followed. Food is the only thing that satisfies the body as well as the soul.

If we talk about the best kind of food donation, then there is no greater virtue than feeding food to a cow. It has also been said in the Vedas that feeding fodder to cows and bulls is equivalent to feeding the gods. That is why we have an age-old tradition of feeding the first roti made at home to mother cow.

To give a more comprehensive form to this tradition and to provide adequate food to destitute mother cow, Shree Krishnayan Desi Gaushala has taken the responsibility of providing food to about 18000 cows.

However, the glory of this food donation is also because in Hindu religion cow has been given the status of mother. It is said that all the Hindu deities reside in the cow. Not only this, mother cow was described as a visible deity. It is said that feeding a cow is like feeding all the Gods and Goddesses of the universe.

Attain victory and opulence

Describing the importance of mother cow, it has been said that giving water to mother cow is like satisfying all the gods and goddesses. By circumambulating the mother cow and paying obeisance to her, one gets the fruits of pilgrimage. All the Gods and Goddesses have found a place inside the mother cow.

The person who regularly donates food to the cow, gets all the fruits of the world. According to one's ability and convenience one must donate some food. This gives ultimate welfare.

It has also been said in the Mahabharata that the virtue that is there in performing a yagya is achieved only by offering fodder to mother cow.

According to Vishnudharmottar puran, the person who gives food to the cow or donates fodder or bread for the cow daily. Any trouble of his automatically changes the way. One who offers food to a cow before eating his own food, attains victory and opulence.

Akshaya Tritiya and the glory of serving Gaumata

It is believed that the cow was very dear to Lord Krishna, so it is said that on the days or festivals dedicated to Lord Vishnu, the cow must be served. Lord Shri Krishna is also an incarnation of Vishnu, so service to mother cow is mandatory even on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya.

On the festival of Akshaya Tritiya, the glory of serving mother cow has also been said. The most important part of this service is feeding the cow. By the way, many ingredients are described in the scriptures to feed the cow. But on the day of Akshaya Tritiya, if you feed green vegetables or green grass to the cow, then it is considered very auspicious.

Help us to feed Gaumata

Our main objective in this Gaushala is to provide adequate food and shelter to those who leave the mother cow destitute or those who leave the non-milch mother cow destitute. One of the reasons for the birth of Lord Krishna has been the cow service of the ancestors. The naming ceremony of Lord Krishna also took place in the Gaushala. Shri Krishna also learned to walk by holding the tail of the calf. God awakened the cows to protect nature. God's home is the Gaushala. That's why we should make our life successful by cooperating in the service of the cows growing up in the Gaushala.

We hope for the cooperation of all of you donors, because until you do not give food to the destitute mother cow, how will she survive? In the Gaushala, we are doing Gauseva to the best of our ability. With your cooperation, we will be able to feed more cows.

So come, and cooperate in providing straw, fodder, grains to Gauseva and get the blessings of mother cow.
