Varuthini Ekadashi 2025
Varuthini Ekadashi 2025: Date, Time, Puja Rituals and Significance
Ekadashi date is considered to have special significance in Hindu religion. There are 24 Ekadashis celebrated throughout the year, each known for its spiritual significance and rituals. One of these is Varuthini Ekadashi, which is falling on 24th April in the year 2025. It was due to the influence of Varuthini Ekadashi that King Mandhata attained heaven. After which the tradition of celebrating Varuthini Ekadashi is going on every year. On this day, devotees worship Goddess Lakshmi along with Lord Vishnu and observe fast for happiness and peace in life. It is believed that by doing this on the day of Ekadashi, all the wishes of the devotees are fulfilled. Fasting on Varuthini Ekadashi brings spiritual benefits, peace, success and salvation. Also, this fast destroys sins and brings an end to troubles.
Varuthini Ekadashi 2025 Significance: According to Padma Purana, by fasting on Varuthini Ekadashi, a person becomes free from all sins and gets established in Vishnuloka. It is believed that as much virtue is obtained by donating a daughter and doing penance for many years, equal virtue is obtained by fasting on Varuthini Ekadashi. By fasting on Varuthani Ekadashi, the seeker also gets the fruit of Vidyadan. This Ekadashi is considered to give good fortune, destroy all sins and ultimately give salvation and also destroys poverty and gives relief from suffering.
Varuthini Ekadashi also has spiritual benefits. By observing this fast, a person attains peace of mind, freedom from sins and salvation. At the same time, material comforts increase and success is achieved in life. This fast eliminates adversities and troubles and brings positivity in life. Apart from this, it helps in spiritual development and receives the blessings of Lord Vishnu.
Varuthini Ekadashi 2025 Puja Rituals: The puja ritual of Varuthini Ekadashi includes bath, resolution, worship of Lord Vishnu, Jagran and Parana. On this day, one should offer Roli, Moli, yellow sandalwood, Akshat, yellow flowers, seasonal fruits, sweets, etc. to Lord Vishnu wearing conch, chakra, lotus, mace and Pitambara, perform aarti with incense-lamp and donate the lamp and also chant the mantras of Shri Vishnu as per the capacity. One should keep chanting 'Om Namo Bhagwate Vasudevay'. Reciting Vishnu Sahastranam on this day is very fruitful. Devotees should worship Shri Narayan with devotion, keeping Shri Narayan in mind and staying away from feelings of slander, deceit, greed and hatred. On the day of Dwadashi, after feeding the Brahmins, eat the food yourself.
You can earn maximum virtue by coming to Shree Krishnayan Gaurakshashala situated on the banks of holy river Ganga in Haridar and worshiping, bathing and making resolutions on Varuthini Ekadashi.
Our experienced priests conduct puja with professionalism, amidst the divine environment of the holy Ganga river in Haridwar. We ensure that our puja services are of the highest quality and aligned with Hindu customs. During this period, we perform Vedic rituals to seek blessings from Gaumata, revered as divine in Hindu scriptures.

What we do:-
Presently more than 21000 destitute cows are living a happy and peaceful life. We not only give these cows a second home but also a second chance of happy life.
These cows are docile who do not harm anyone at all. So, we cannot leave these cows to meet a fatal end. Such cows are brought to our Gaushala from horrible time in which some are disabled or deeply injured even fighting for their life. All these cows are fed, sheltered, and looked after. Hundreds of gausewaks work round the clock to look after them. These gauvansh are fed with a mixture of fodder that includes wheat, mustard cake, green grass, bhusa (husk) and jaggery. They are given plenty of water and have acres of land to move around. We have a team of expert doctors who look after these cows and administer them quality medicines.
‘Shree Krishnayan Desi Gauraksha Evam Gaulok Dham Sewa Samiti’ is one of the largest Gaurakshashala of desi cows in India. We protect, feed & shelter ailing, starving, destitute and stray desi cows majority of which are abandoned by their owners or saved from butchers. Most of these Gauvansh are milk barren. This gaushala is run and managed by saints. We do not sell milk or milk products. We started with just 11 cows in the year 2010 in Haridwar and presently we shelter and feed more than 21000 cows We are registered with Animal Welfare Board of India (Chennai) and with animal welfare board in various states.
