Yogini Ekadashi
The Ekadashi that falls during the Krishna Paksha of the month of Ashadha is known as 'Yogini Ekadashi'. The Ekadashi that falls after Nirjala Ekadashi and before Devshayani Ekadashi is called Yogini Ekadashi. According to the North Indian calendar, Yogini Ekadashi falls during the Krishna Paksha of the month of Ashadha and according to the South Indian calendar, Yogini Ekadashi falls during the Krishna Paksha of the month of Jyeshtha. According to the English calendar, the fast of Yogini Ekadashi falls in the month of June or July.
The fast of Yogini Ekadashi is considered very important in Hinduism. It is said in the scriptures about Yogini Ekadashi that this fast gives the same merit as feeding 88,000 Brahmins. By observing this fast, a person also gets free from the sins of his previous life and attains happiness, peace and prosperity in life. According to Padma Purana, by observing the fast of Yogini Ekadashi, all diseases, sins and mental afflictions are removed. This fast is especially fruitful for those who are struggling with mental, physical or financial problems in life.
It is said that fasting on Yogini Ekadashi brings freedom from sins. It is said that fasting on Yogini Ekadashi eradicates all sins and brings prosperity and happiness in life. Fasting on Yogini Ekadashi leads to attainment of heaven. Yogini Ekadashi is famous in all three worlds. It is believed that fasting on Yogini Ekadashi is equivalent to feeding eighty-eight thousand Brahmins.
Yogini Ekadashi Vrat has a lot of importance in Hinduism. By keeping this fast, a person gets freedom from all kinds of sins and attains salvation. It is said that the devotees who follow this difficult fast get the blessings of health and happiness and prosperity. In such a situation, one must fast on this holy day.
Devotees do special worship of Lord Vishnu on the day of Yogini Ekadashi. If we talk about the method of worship, then wake up in the auspicious time and take a bath. Then take a vow of fasting in front of Lord Vishnu. Clean the temple or place of worship at home and purify it by sprinkling Gangajal. Spread a yellow cloth on a stool and install the idol or picture of Lord Vishnu. Anoint Lord Vishnu with Panchamrit and Gangajal. Apply a tilak of turmeric and kumkum to Lord Vishnu and offer yellow flowers. Light a ghee lamp and burn incense.
Offer fruits, sweets and Tulsi leaves to Lord Vishnu. Listen to the story of Yogini Ekadashi Vrat. Perform Aarti of Lord Vishnu and other deities. On this day, the person observing the fast should remain without food the whole day. If this is not possible, then fruits can be consumed. Staying awake at night and singing bhajans and kirtans of Lord Vishnu is also considered auspicious.
Devotees who successfully observe this fast receive the divine blessings of Lord Vishnu and are blessed with longevity and well-being. Devotees can attain the path of salvation. The Yogini Ekadashi fast helps those who observe it to achieve prosperity, good health, success and recognition in their lives.

What we do:-
Presently more than 21000 destitute cows are living a happy and peaceful life. We not only give these cows a second home but also a second chance of happy life.
These cows are docile who do not harm anyone at all. So, we cannot leave these cows to meet a fatal end. Such cows are brought to our Gaushala from horrible time in which some are disabled or deeply injured even fighting for their life. All these cows are fed, sheltered, and looked after. Hundreds of gausewaks work round the clock to look after them. These gauvansh are fed with a mixture of fodder that includes wheat, mustard cake, green grass, bhusa (husk) and jaggery. They are given plenty of water and have acres of land to move around. We have a team of expert doctors who look after these cows and administer them quality medicines.
‘Shree Krishnayan Desi Gauraksha Evam Gaulok Dham Sewa Samiti’ is one of the largest Gaurakshashala of desi cows in India. We protect, feed & shelter ailing, starving, destitute and stray desi cows majority of which are abandoned by their owners or saved from butchers. Most of these Gauvansh are milk barren. This gaushala is run and managed by saints. We do not sell milk or milk products. We started with just 11 cows in the year 2010 in Haridwar and presently we shelter and feed more than 21000 cows We are registered with Animal Welfare Board of India (Chennai) and with animal welfare board in various states.
