Devshayani Ekadashi 2024

The fast of Devshayani Ekadashi is considered an important fast in Sanatan Dharma. According to the Hindu calendar, this fast is observed on the Ekadashi date of the Shukla Paksha of the Ashad month. It is considered to be the beginning of the sleeping period of Lord Vishnu. On this day, Lord Vishnu sleeps in Kshirsagar and wakes up after four months on Prabodhini Ekadashi of Kartik month. This festival is considered very important in Hinduism and on this day Lord Vishnu and Mother Tulsi are worshipped.

Worshiping Tulsi on the day of Devshayani Ekadashi is especially auspicious. It is believed that by doing some measures related to Tulsi on this day, wealth growth, happiness, prosperity and happiness in married life are achieved. By fasting on Devshayani Ekadashi, all sins are destroyed and salvation is achieved. Lord Vishnu bestows special blessings on the devotees who observe this fast. Therefore, this holy festival should be fasted with great reverence and devotion.

Devshayani Ekadashi 2025 is given great importance in Indian religious traditions, but its scientific side is also very interesting. This Ekadashi falls on the eleventh day of Ashadh Shukla Paksha, which mostly occurs in the month of July. Monsoon begins at this time, and it has an impact on natural changes as well as human health. Keeping this fast increases, the sense of mental peace and self-control. This time is also considered suitable for meditation and prayer, which improves mental health.  The astrological significance of Devshayani Ekadashi 2025 is extremely profound. The four months from Devshayani Ekadashi to Devprabodhini Ekadashi are considered especially auspicious for spiritual and religious practice. Observing fasts, fasting and other religious rituals during this period brings happiness, prosperity and peace in life.

On the day of Devshayani Ekadashi, wake up in the Brahma Muhurta in the morning, take a bath and meditate on Lord Vishnu. Establish a seat and place a picture or idol of Lord Vishnu on it. Give a bath to Shaligram Ji. It is best to bathe with Gangajal, Panchamrit, and Tulsi water. Wipe Shaligram Ji with a pure cloth and place him on the seat. Offer flowers, fruits, incense, lamp, camphor, and naivedya to Lord Vishnu and Shaligram Ji. Perform the aarti of Lord Vishnu and Shaligram Ji or chant mantras. Take a pledge to observe Devshayani Ekadashi fast. Meditate on Lord Vishnu and Shaligram Ji throughout the day. Do not eat at night. Break the fast after sunrise on the next day (Dwadashi Tithi). Feed food to Brahmins and give donations. Then eat food yourself. Chanting the mantras of Lord Vishnu on the day of Devshayani Ekadashi can be beneficial. Along with this, a person can also get the desired fruits.

Overall, the story of Devshayani Ekadashi is an important part of Hindu mythology and culture. The fast associated with this story is a powerful means of spiritual growth and material prosperity. By observing the fast, devotees can receive the blessings of Lord Vishnu and overcome obstacles in their lives.
